The medical Spanish course offered by TILDE MADRID is exclusive and unique, and has been carefully developed by the school's management team. It is aimed primarily at doctors, although it can be very useful for other health professionals, such as nurses and clinical assistants.

 

COURSE CONTENTS:

The Spanish for Doctors course is focused on improving the student's general level of Spanish through health-related topics. Much of the vocabulary focuses on the human body, medicines, symptoms, diagnostic tests, disease prevention, most common illnesses, treatments, etc. The most common situations that health professionals face in real life situations will be recreated in class. Not only will you improve your general level of Spanish, but you will also acquire the communication skills that health professionals must master in Spanish: how to express opinions, make hypotheses, recommend, give instructions or reassure.

Throughout each topic, aspects of Spanish grammar will be reviewed so that the student will have a firm and reliable linguistic framework. In addition, the student will receive a glossary of structures that will serve as a continuous reference in the future.

Finally, and as a complement, this course provides an overview of how healthcare works in Spain. In addition to its informative value, it is another tool for proposing debates, expressing opinions and establishing comparisons.

 

Course objectives:
  • Making the students able to understand Spanish speakers and to express themselves clearly in situations that they will find in their workplace.
  • Learning the medical Spanish vocabulary every health professional should know, and making a proficient use of the most useful medical Spanish phrases.
  • Reviewing the most important grammatical structures and their functions, in order to communicate flawlessly in Spanish in a medical environment.
  • Knowing the reality of the Spanish health system.

COURSE FORMAT:

Individual. Can be combined with the general Spanish course Curso BASE.

LEVEL

It is recommended that the student has completed at least the basic user level of Spanish, as defined in the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
